Our History
Growing up in the culinary-rich environment of Szechuan, China, Chef Yu learned the art of cooking at a young age. Later, she expanded her knowledge with a degree in Hospitality Management from Florida International University. Alongside her husband, Dr. Lei, she brought the vibrant Cajun flavors they fell in love with in New Orleans to their home city of Miami.
Inspired by their Louisiana experiences, they tirelessly studied the art of Cajun seasoning and opened their first Cajun Boil restaurant in Miami in 2018 on West Flagler St in Miami. Owing to the resounding success, they added more locations in Plantation, Brickell, and Hollywood in 2019, 2020 and 2024, respectively. Each venue offers a unique fusion of traditional Cajun flavors and an Asian twist, served in a warm and inviting atmosphere.
