About Cajun Boil
Cajun BOIL was established by Chef Yu and her husband Dr. Lei. Opening a restaurant has always been Chef Yu’s childhood dream. Chef Yu was raised by her grandparents in a small village in northwestern China. Her grandmother worked as a Chef for more than 20 years, and her grandfather’s family used to own a local famous restaurant in Szechuan, China back in 1930s. The entire childhood memories are full of grandparents’ care, and she grew up with unbeatable grandmother’s love meal. Due to her grandparents’ impact, little Yu started learning and cooking for herself at the age of 8 not only because she is interested in food, but also because she has passion about cooking good food for families and friends. After Yu received her bachelor degree in China, she went to continue study in Hospitality Management in Florida International University (FIU) and received her Master Degree in Hospitality Management in 2011.
Back in 2015, Chef Yu and Dr. Lei traveled to New Orleans, Louisiana, and they immediately fell in love with the Cajun food. After they came back to Miami they found that it’s very difficult to find a good Cajun style restaurant. So Chef Yu and Dr. Lei went back and forth to New Orleans a few times to taste the local Cajun food and started learning the essence of Cajun seasoning. The first Cajun BOIL was established by them on March 2018 on Flagler St, Miami, FL. The second location of Cajun BOIL will be open at the end of year 2019 at Plantation, FL, and the third location will be open at the beginning of 2020 at Davie, FL. The menus at Cajun BOIL are carefully prepared with premium quality seafood mixed with traditional Cajun flavors and an Asian twist. Guest service and satisfaction is their top priority, and the first thing in the company core value is “Be a host!”, simply explaining as “Treating our guests as friends and families!”. All of the Cajun BOIL locations provide a relax atmosphere and the best service in town, and it’s a perfect spot for family dinner and birthday party. As what they have been always saying: “All the team members at the restaurants are waiting to serve the delicious food to our dear guests!”
